This 23rd edition of the South Ken Kids festival celebrates kindness, fraternity and diversity. It’s the perfect occasion for us to highlight Kind: a picture book all about kindness, written by Alison Green, with a foreword by Axel Scheffler and pictures by 38 kind illustrators. We’re delighted that four Kind artists will be appearing at the festival, too: Axel Scheffler, Sarah McIntyre, Dorothée de Monfreid and Guy Parker-Rees.
This gallery is made with the huge support of Alison Green Books, an imprint of Scholastic Children’s Books, and Three Peas.
Featuring a selection of illustrations from Kind by Steve Antony, David Barrow, Sir Quentin Blake, Melissa Castrillón, Benjamin Chaud, Marianna Coppo, Kitty Crowther, Pippa Curnick, Michael Foreman, Lucia Gaggiotti, Ingrid Godon, Nicola Kinnear, Sarah McIntyre, Dorothée de Monfreid, Lydia Monks, Jörg Mühle, Barbara Nascimbeni, Guy Parker-Rees, David Roberts, Nick Sharratt, Axel Scheffler, Helen Stephens, Britta Teckentrup. (All illustrations © 2019 by the individual illustrators. Reproduced by permission of Scholastic Children’s Books, all rights reserved).
