Exchange Theatre is an international company established in 2006 in London in order to translate and produce unknown or rare international plays in English. We have been developing ambitious multilingual productions to critical acclaim, with a strong visual imagery, original music, multimedia creations. Strong of a portfolio of over 30 productions, Exchange Theatre is now followed by a multicultural and diverse audience.
Exchange Theatre was the mediathèque resident company in 2011 to 2013 delivering educational family shows: a real exchange was created with the audience, breaking the wall between stage and audience and offering stories where the children were actively involved. Designed specifically for multicultural families, used for bilingualism on a daily basis, our productions explore a unique audience interactivity.
